brownie crusted cheesecake {recipe}

Umm, yum. Just yum. 

J.B. has informed me that this is one of his new favorite desserts. I might have to agree. 
And the fact that it's pretty simple to make really doesn't hurt my feelings either!

: :  Ingredients  : :

 - brownie mix {and additional ingredients on the back of the box}
 - 16oz of cream cheese {softened}
 - 1 cup of sugar
 - 1 tsp of vanilla
 - 3/4 cup of heavy cream
 - 1/4 cup of mini chocolate chips

 You can use any brownie mix you want. So if you have a favorite, go with it.
I think I just nabbed a Betty Crocker original mix. It called for an egg, water and vegetable oil on the back of the box.

First up, make the brownies! Mix all the required ingredients into a 9" spring form pan and cook as directed. Make sure to allow your brownies to cool completely before moving on to the next steps.

Next, mix your softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla together. 

In a separate bowl, whisk your heavy cream until frothy.

 Once your first bowl is thoroughly combined and the heavy cream is ready, mix to the two together, gently.

Finally, toss in your chocolate chips.

Now all you have to do is top your brownies with this cream cheese mixture.
Refrigerate for at least four hours before eating. 

This dessert tastes a little different from regular cheesecakes. It's almost like a brownie cake, with a thick, delicious cheesecake frosting on top. So stinking good!!!
