toddler art tuesdays {#1}

Jake and I have survived a few weeks of finger paints, elmer's glue and crayons!

And here are our first two fall projects:

I drew the butterfly bodies on white paper and let Jake color it.

Then we picked out some leaves for the butterfly wings.

And while Jake napped, momma assembled the butterflies.

Love.

I used brown construction paper for the tree truck.

And set up the paints for Jake. I used clothespins to hold the cotton balls.

We dabbed the clothespins paint onto the tree in the form of leaves. Obviously there were also some pretty cool sound effects too, haha.
Yeah, no snapshots of the actual painting. That seems dangerous and would probably require me to have another set of hands...

Too cute! Especially after I put it in a frame!

My goal is to have a gallery wall in the kitchen that's filled with Jake's art.
Two pieces down, a few more to go.

Have some fun with your little one today!
