The Jewelry Wall

It has been a week of unfinished projects.

But I did manage to get one done yesterday that I'd been putting off for ages.
Remember that scarf hanger I made for the dormer area of our master closet? Well, I wanted to create a simple place to keep necklaces on the opposite wall. I really don't wear a lot of jewelry, but I have just enough to create a small mess.

And ta-da! Finally complete!

There's not much to this. We purchased a 1x6 board and a 1x4 board and cut them to the lengths we wanted. I grabbed several decorative knobs at my local craft store to hang the jewelry on.
Pretty simple.
{so why did it take me forever to complete?}

Now my extra bedroom turned closet is looking a little less cluttered and a little more complete.  Well, the dormer area is anyway.

Scarf hanger on the left side...

Jewelry wall on the right side...

And speaking of that scarf hanger...
I've had a lot of people ask me how its attached to the wall. So I pulled it off the wall to show you.
The answer is

Two heavy duty picture hangers and two anchored screws...

And hey guys, don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to enter the Holiday Giveaway!! Go check it out now for some freebies!!

  1. Hello Sarah,

    I just wanna say "Thank You"! You are full of great ideas and I get lots of inspirations from you. I like the scarf hanger especially and I bought alredy some hooks to get an own one:-)
    A long time, I thought about creating a own blog. 4 weeks ago, I found your blog by fluke. I was totally impressed and that gave me the final impulse. So I started my own blog. In Germany we say something like "It's still in the fledgling stages", but I'm very happy with it.

    Have a great weekend
