Halloween {the costumes}

Did you all survive Halloween night last night?!

Mine was pretty lame. I drove to Nashville yesterday afternoon to drop J.B. at the airport {business trip} and didn't make it back until almost 7:30. I totally meant to leave a bowl of candy out on the porch but, well, that didn't happen. After I got home I only had two little trick-or-treaters.

Now I have a HUGE bowl of candy left over. And a husband that's out of town for the week... Pregnant lady win!

But I wanted to show you guys some shots from our Halloween party this year.
{check out the party decor here}
I wish I had gotten pictures of everyone, but here are a few of the creative costumes...

Rosie the Riveter                                              The bank robber and his cash

Fred and Wilma Flintstone                              The bee keeper and the honeybee

Aaron Rodgers and the ladybug                                     J.B. and Sarah Wilder

Yes, we had some awesome friends that came as US! How fun is that?!

But the winners of the costume contest were ....

Mary Poppins and Bert the chimney sweep!

I love how most of the costumes were homemade!
Oh and J.B. and I? Well, we were skeletons this Halloween.

I had a cute baby skeleton of Baby Jake on my belly and J.B. decided he was going to have a food baby.

I purchased long sleeve shirts, sweatpants for J.B., and leggings for me. Then drew out each skeleton bone on freezer paper. After cutting each freezer paper stencil out with a razor, I ironed them down and painted the bone with fabric paint.

It took a little while, but I figured it was worth it for a costume I could only pull off while pregnant. Plus, it was definitely the most comfy costume I've ever worn!

All in all, we had a great time at the party. There was a cupcake decorating contest

{the winner!}

 a Halloween trivia contest, and lots of other general silliness.
We have some of the best friends on the planet that just love to get together and laugh!
Can't beat that.
