The Oscars' snacks

Did you guys sit down to watch The Oscars on Sunday night?

The husband and I are pretty avid movie goers. We felt it was our complete obligation to The Academy to throw our two cents in from the comfort of our living room.
{imagine two bums in sweatpants chowing down on junk food and yelling our own picks at the television for three hours. aren't we delightful?}

Our favorite this year {by far} was The King's Speech. So good.
But others that we enjoyed that were nominated were Inception, HP 7, The Town and Toy Story 3.

But for us the lounging evening was also about making some yummy munchies! Thought I'd share one:








Ingrediants:

 - whole mushrooms (this makes about 20)
 - 15 crackers, crushed (ritz or club)
 - 1/2 cup of red pepper, chopped
 - 2 tablespoons of butter
 - 1/2 cup of red onion, chopped
 - 1 tablespoon of Good Seasons Italian salad dressing mix
 - 1 cup of grated parmesan cheese*

*{when I made this I used shredded parmesan cheese. yeah, not the best. Use grated parmesan instead}


Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Melt your butter on medium-high in a skillet.
Then take the stems off your mushrooms, chop them up and throw them in the skillet.


Throw your onion and red pepper in the skillet as well. Cook these until tender.


Add in the Good Seasonings mix, the parmesan cheese, and 14 crushed crackers. Mix thoroughly.

Now spoon the mixture over the mushrooms. Place mushrooms on a cookie sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. 


And enjoy!
